Hi, I’m Jill. I live in Southern California, but I’m a native East-Coast girl and I long for steamed Maryland crabs. I am obsessed with food blogs, good grammar, and finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. I have a long and narrow kitchen with 50s-style cupboards and cheery yellow walls, and I’ve only recently learned that a stand mixer is worth all the hullabaloo.
My husband, whose real name is not Terwilliger, and I received half a dozen cookbooks as wedding gifts for our April 2009 nuptials. I have enjoyed baking since I was but a wee lass, but I’m still new-ish to the kitchen when it comes to meals that aren’t comprised mainly of sugar and butter. Here is where I will chronicle my experience as I work through my new cookboooks as well as old favorites.
